Because Of Winn-Dixie
To celebrate the film release of Because of Winn-Dixie, Candlewick Press has published a movie tie-in edition of Kate DiCamillo's bestselling novel that contains eight pages of full-color movie stills.
Candlewick also has made available the official movie scrapbook. Told from the point of view of Winn-Dixie himself, it allows fans to relive (or discover for the first time) the heartwarming film through dozens of full-color photos, many of which aren't available anywhere else. The book also contains tips on how to host your own Winn-Dixie party --- complete with recipes --- and an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the making of the movie.

Here's a description of the film and some of the people who helped bring this popular novel to the big screen:
Ten-year-old India Opal Buloni moves to the small Florida town of Naomi with her preacher father. India Opal has a difficult time adjusting to her new life because she doesn't know anyone there and she still misses her mother, who abandoned them years ago. But eventually she befriends Winn-Dixie, an orphaned dog. The bond that develops between them brings the townspeople together --- but can it help heal her own troubled relationship with her father?
Produced by Twentieth Century Fox and directed by Wayne Wang, Because of Winn-Dixie stars Jeff Daniels as the preacher, Dave Matthews as Otis, Eva Marie Saint as Miss Franny Block, Cicely Tyson as Gloria Dump, and AnnaSophia Robb as India Opal Buloni.
