CURIOUS GEORGE
by Margret and H. A. Rey
Can you think of anyone more curious than the mischievous monkey who left the jungle and found a home with the man in the yellow hat? Whether he's going to the beach or to school, riding a bike or making pancakes, the energetic and impish Curious George creates mischief-and then manages to save the day! The "good little monkey who was always very curious" celebrated his 60th birthday in 2001.
Curious George was brought to life by the writing of Margret Rey and the illustrations
of her husband, H. A. Rey. Margret once said about readers' fascination with the
always-curious chimp, "George can do what kids can't do. He can paint a room from
the inside. He can hang from a kite in the sky. He can let the animals out of
their pens on the farm. He can do all these naughty things that kids would like
to do." Whatever the reasons, Curious George will always be our favorite storybook
monkey.
